Niall Horan of One Direction Injured at Amsterdam Concert, Asks Fans on Twitter Not to Throw Things Onstage

One Direction fans love their boy band so much they can't even keep their shoes to themselves, much to the detriment of the "You and I" group. Last night (June 25) at a concert in Amsterdam, 1D member Niall Horan was hit in the knee with a heavy object, adding pain to an old injury. Now, he's made a call on Twitter for fans to be careful at future gigs.

According to RTE 10, Horan was hit in the knee by an unidentified flying object, presumed to be a shoe, during a show at the Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands. The shoe just so happened to hit Horan in the very knee that he had serious surgery on back in January and he was later seen limping off stage.

The incident inspired Horan to warn fans kindly not to throw things onstage at concerts, despite their excitement."Amsterdam thank you for a great couple of shows! Appreciate you coming," Horan wrote in a series of tweets. "Also guys! Can you limit what gets thrown on stage please! Coz something thrown at me tonight! Hit my knee! A lot of pain from it! Never wana sound like I'm complaining! But only having my operation 5 months ago, I still get a bit of pain and I'm very scared about it."

OMG please stop throwing things on stage bc it can harm all the Lads. If u are a good directioner please save them from things that can hurt them :) Thanks

This is the next WWA Tour of The Lads

1D Niall Horan's Croker surprise for ill fan ! AMAZING

Niall Horan made a sick girl’s dreams come true when he surprised her with a private audience before One Direction’s final Croke Park gig on Sunday.

Leah Hession, six, is the only girl in Ireland battling a rare form of kidney cancer and has reached an advanced stage of the disease.

Last Monday, the child finished radiotherapy for extreme pain which had prevented her from walking.

Leah’s parents Lorraine and Graham feared their daughter would never get to see the pop idols in Dublin but her treat was beyond their wildest dreams.

The girl’s magical night began after her mum asked kids’ cancer charity Aoibheann’s Pink Tie if they could help get Leah to the gig.

The charity booked a room for Leah and Lorraine at Dunboyne Castle Hotel, Co Meath, and arranged for gardai to give them an escort into Croke Park.

And Niall, 20, popped up to the stadium’s Presidential Suite and gave Leah a massive hug.

Still ecstatic at her home in Ballyglunin, Co Galway, she said: “He was awesome. I love him.”

Lorraine and Leah were brought through the VIP entrance to Croke Park and shown into a room for dignitaries. And minutes later they couldn’t believe their eyes when Gotta Be You singer Niall, from Co Westmeath, embraced the child.

Lorraine revealed: “Leah kept saying Mum it can’t get any better but it did thanks to the gardai and APT.

“I didn’t know about it. We were in the room a few minutes and then Niall walked in.

“He was on his own and didn’t have security or an entourage.

“He must have spent five minutes with us and he 100% made the effort with Leah.

“He was so kind and generous and hugged her and signed all of her memorabilia. Leah keeps asking was it a dream. This has given us precious memories that will be with us for ever.”

APT co-founder Mick Rochford said the 1D star was “thoughtful and an absolute gentleman”.

He added: “He has given Leah special memories that are deserving of a very special girl who has been through so much and is still smiling.

“Gardai played a pivotal role in helping us in Aoibheann’s Pink Tie make Leah’s dream come true.”

Lorraine also thanked the “amazing” officers, who gave Leah a medal for bravery, for going “above and beyond the call of duty”.

To show his support for the charity, Niall wore an APT wristband before he joined the rest of his band for their third sold-out Dublin concert.

1D’s Niall Horan raises over £300k with charity football game! so INSANE !

One Direction star Niall Horan has raised £300K for charity after organizing a star studded football match.

The 20-year-old put together the fixture – called the Niall Horan Charity Football Challenge – with the help of some of his celebrity friends.

'Team Niall' consisted of his One Direction bandmates, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, along with a host of other celebs, including Jack Whitehall and James Corden.

The Little Things singer's team pitted their skills against a squas created by Piers Morgan, who enlisted the help of some of his famous pals, with the likes of Keith Duffy, getting their kit on for the good cause.

Over 15,000 people turned out for the match yesterday – most of whom we think are likely to be directioners if the screams were anything to go by – which saw Team Piers come out on top.

Niall took to his Twitter today to thank fans for their support, and said after the game: “Although my team didn’t win, I still enjoyed every minute of this game.

“I would like to thank all the players who donated their time free of charge to support this event. I am looking forward to making this even bigger and better next year. I am delighted we have raised significant funds for Irish Autism Action which is based in my home town of Mullingar, UK based Heart and Minds Challenge and the Leicester Foxes Foundation.”

In other fundraising news, fellow Directioner Liam Payne managed to raise £17,129.46 for cancer charity Letsfcancer after auctioning off his OnePiece. Isn't that nice?

Well done boys, we're very proud of you!

Where We Are Tour JUne 2014, Check this out girls :)

ZOUIS issue of smoking joint make Louis' father cross over him. ! Hope this issue gone quickly :(

We've all been there. It's the most crushing thing a parent can say, isn't it? "We're not angry, we're just really disappointed." That's why we're feeling for

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson this morning after his dad came out and said he was frustrated with his son's apparent drug use, which was caught on film in a video that emerged this week.

Louis's dad Troy Austin, who is actually estranged from his son, told the Mirror that he is worried for the 22-year-old singer and believes the pressures of fame have affected him.

"I'm worried for him. I do believe that being that famous will be taking its toll on them. I think everyone is concerned it could lead to other things," he said.

"[Louis] said he would never get a tattoo because it was a scar and he would never smoke because it would damage his vocal cords. He's gone the opposite way and I hope it doesn't get worse. It seems the fame and money have changed him."

Ouch. In the video, Louis and his bandmate Zayn Malik can be seen in the back of a car lighting up what seems to be a joint and smoking it during the band's recent trip to Peru.

They're being given a police escort and one of the boys even jokes that a nearby officer can probably "smell an illegal substance" through the car window.

Louis's dad said the 1D boys have to grow up and realise their enormous fanbase will be watching their every move
"It's very childish. They need a serious talking to. I don't agree with it but I smoked it too when I was younger.

"But you should never brag about it. He's got to think of his fans," he added.

Last night the band performed at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland and all five were reportedly summoned to a crisis meeting beforehand, although none of them made any reference to the video during their gig.

The only official word we've heard from One Direction's management team so far is from their spokesperson, who said: "The matter is in the hands of our lawyers."

One Direction's Liam Payne breaks Twitter silence on THAT video showing Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson 'smoking joint'

After that video emerged ofOne Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik smoking and talking about something that looked quite a lot like a joint, fellow band member Liam Payne took it upon himself to help clear the waters by taking to Twitter before the band’s show at Sunderland's Stadium of Light for the European leg of their tour.

Never directly addressing the situation, but saying that “weird s**t” was going on, he told his 16.8 million followers that everyone should “calm down and not do anything stupid”.

Although it was a little late for Zayn and Louis to not do anything stupid, the tweet seemed to be directed mostly at the fans who were ripping up their concert tickets or tweeting hashtags such as #Zouispasstheblunt in regards to the pair’s antics.

Although tweeting a fan saying that he was talking about the trends, the tweet seemed to be directed more towards his band mates and the bad press they have received due to the video.

Taking up his role as ‘the sensible one’ once again, he told everyone to try keep the “PG rating”, which the boys are usually known for.

1D’s squeaky-clean image has no doubt been tainted by the drug news, much to the disappointment of many parents and younger fans. The boys went on to perform a sold-out gig in the rain, showing that neither bad weather nor bad press can ruin their success for now.
